The Black Women’s Studies Association is  excited to announce that we’re currently accepting submissions for the BWSA blog! We invite you to submit posts under 750 words for a series on Black women and the centennial of the 19th amendment. Posts may address Black women’s relationship to voting during any time period. Potential topics for consideration include but are not limited to Black women suffragists; the racial exclusions of the 19th amendment; Black women’s voting rights activism during the Civil Rights Movement and the present day; how contemporary voter suppression impacts Black women; and the significance of Black women voters in twenty-first century elections.

Priority will be given to BWSA members. Please send submissions to blog@blackwomensstudies.com.
